Persons may not “screech” their tires while driving.Full text of the Law
10.12.010 Tire screeching unlawful.A. It is unlawful for any person or persons, while operating a motor vehicle on the streets or highways of the city, to accelerate or speed the vehicle in such a manner or to turn a corner in such a manner as to cause the tires to screech.
B. Any person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction be punished by a fine not to exceed five hundred dollars, imprisonment for a period not to exceed thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
