Section 197.203 POSTING OR SECURING SIGNS PROHIBITED; EXCEPTIONS.Except as provided in Section 197.202 of this building code, no sign painted or printed on paper, muslin, or other fabric shall be posted, tacked, or otherwise secured to fences, posts, trees, utility poles, or signal poles and, except as provided in other sections of this building code or other ordinances, these signs shall not be posted, tacked, or otherwise secured to any exterior surfaces of a building or other structure.
